Three arrests have been made after a clash involving teenagers in a multi-storey car park which led to one being hospitalised. Gardaí in the town observed the incident and said the local group immediately dispersed, but the assailants managed to get to one before officers could intervene. This male youth was assaulted and brought to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be serious. A garda was also injured during the incident, which took place last Friday evening in the centre of the town. As part of the investigation, gardaí are also in discussions with local schools in the areas concerned.
