KUCHING: A total of 156 people living within a 200-metre radius from a Zika patient's house in Miri have been screened, with none displaying signs and symptoms of the infection. State Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the Health Ministry had screened residents living nearby, included six family members living in the same house. All the family members showed no signs and symptoms of Zika infection. The infected patient, a 35-year-old pregnant woman, is Sarawak’s first reported Zika case. Aerosol spray, he said, can be applied during the mosquitoes’ active hours between 5am to 7am and 5pm to 7pm.
