AdvertisementA separate Hamas statement said the proposal aims for a permanent ceasefire, a comprehensive Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and an ensured flow of aid. He urged Hamas to accept the framework proposal as the basis for talks that he said could begin next week. Israeli officials have approved the U.S. proposal for a temporary ceasefire in the nearly 20-month war. Israel’s military body in charge of aid coordination in Gaza, COGAT, said 579 trucks of aid had entered over the past week. The U.N. has said 600 per day were entering under the previous ceasefire that Israel ended with new bombardment.

I’ve been deathly allergic to being exposed to even minuscule amounts of peanuts for as long as I can remember. This process involves ingesting 28 different doses of peanuts over seven months and increasing the strength of the dose each week. Even though the first dose of peanuts I was given was practically microscopic, I was still terrified to eat them. I’m confident that if I continue my maintenance doses, I can live the happy and healthy life I always dreamed of having. “Since reaching my maintenance phase, I take five grams of peanut every day and will continue to do so for three years,” the author writes.

AdvertisementTo meet Trump’s demands, the Air Force agreed to abandon a process already years in progress and instead purchase and retrofit two already built planes whose buyer had gone bankrupt. AdvertisementWhite House officials did not respond to HuffPost queries on this topic, and the Air Force said the contract to modify the Qatari jet for Trump’s interim use was deemed classified, even though it has previously put out routine press releases on the Air Force One program. “Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. All these and likely more were on the list of features that the Air Force had wanted in the new 747s. So much about being a woman is waiting: waiting your turn for a promotion, waiting for the right time to bring something up in your relationships, waiting in hospital beds everywhere — if you’re lucky enough to make it to one. I’m in my new apartment — the first time I’ve ever lived alone — and I’m interviewing women who have had similar experiences with miscarrying at work. She had no choice but to stay at work as she suffered intense cramping and passed the nonviable pregnancy without medical supervision. S. Ferdowsi is a writer continuing her work on miscarriage. Find more of her nonfiction in Best of the Net, The Rumpus, the 2nd Story podcast and the anthology Millennial Feminism at Work.

In light of recent immigration crackdowns, U.S. universities like Columbia University and Cornell University released guidance advising international students to postpone international travel plans over spring break. Studying in the U.S. was supposed to be freeing, but instead it has made my boyfriend feel trapped. ADVERTISEMENTStudying in the U.S. was supposed to be freeing, but instead it has made my boyfriend feel trapped. International students bring with them a diverse set of perspectives and cultural traditions that American students can learn from. That’s why Trump’s crackdown on international students is so alarming.

(Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP) via Associated PressPierce Brosnan has spoken out about his polarising accent in the TV series MobLand. One critic in The Irish Times, for example, described Pierce’s accent in MobLand as a “horror for the ages”, while The Independent’s review called it “preposterous”. AdvertisementSpeaking to Radio Times, Pierce explained that because his own accent is “very soft”, his character’s is “a million miles away from me”. Pierce also claimed that he told his MobLand dialect coach that he “needed a Kerry accent, so he gave me the name of a man and I Googled the guy and that was it”.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGFBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced Monday that the agency is reinvestigating the case of the cocaine found at the White House in 2023 ― an incident that prompted Donald Trump to wildly speculate that the drug belonged to then-President Joe Biden or his son, Hunter Biden. AdvertisementRenewed interest in the matter is likely no coincidence after Trump exploited the controversy during his candidacy. “Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden,” he wrote on Truth Social that summer. Advertisement“But watch, the Fake News Media will soon start saying that the amount found was ‘very small,’ & it wasn’t really COCAINE, but rather common ground up Aspirin, & the story will vanish.”Trump double-downed on his theory a bit later. In 2024, Trump claimed that Biden was “all jacked up” during a State of the Union address.
