After Trump takes office, he will reappoint the director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), review or adjust space policy, and so on. More importantly, when two people who are both interested in space and have radical ideas come together, the adjustments to U.S. space policy could be very 'drastic'. In the field of space, SpaceX effectively determines the timeline for NASA's launch missions, with most of the Department of Defense's satellites relying on SpaceX for launch. During Trump's first term, he pushed to reduce regulation on businesses from almost day one, including in the space sector with the second space policy directive (SPD 2). Semiconductors, leather bags and laptops were among the top China imports that were most affected by the tariffs. Companies big and small have moved production from China to other manufacturing hubs such as Mexico, Vietnam, Taiwan and Malaysia. Last year, products coming from China made up 14% of all imported goods, the lowest share in nearly two decades. That number plunged to $26 million last year, even as the overall amount of wooden cabinets imported continued to climb. More than 70% of those imported goods were still sourced from China in 2023.

just my shadow self, going nowhere fast (Photo by Mark Pellington)Before I begin, let me get started with a note. They don’t really need you until you no longer need them. If you want the actor, you need the money, but if you want the money, you need the actor. I know you know that you didn’t yet do all the things that will make this film or make it inevitable. Now you have a bit of time, and you know you will need even more later when it is no longer available.

Commentary: Why I voted third party and I’m not sorry(ATTENTION EDITORS: 1 photo accompanies this column. I voted for Claudia De La Cruz, the Peace and Freedom Party candidate for president. With two exceptions over the last four decades of presidential elections, I have always voted for a progressive third-party presidential candidate. And I don’t make my choices thinking it doesn’t matter because in my blue state a Democrat will win anyway. The two-party system also guaranteed that only Republican and Democratic agendas got media exposure, major endorsements and nonstop public attention.

The news networks — Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN — remain some of the last channels creating daily, round-the-clock original content for viewers, making them more valuable to cable providers. The ratings for Collins’ show have occasionally dipped below those of CNN NewsNight, a raucous panel show hosted by Abby Phillip at 10 p.m. Still, despite Collins’ potential promotion, CNN is attempting to walk a tightrope when it comes to Trump coverage. How has the perception of the biggest problem changed for Metro Atlantans over time? Looking at our current and historical ARC Metro Atlanta Speaks (MAS) survey responses, we can see several striking ways our perception has changed since then. Coincidentally or not, “Human Services” and “Taxes” concerns have also risen by a large amount for Metro Atlantans, up 3 ranks out of the nine answer choices. While we cannot determine exactly why Metro Atlantans experienced these jumps in concern[4], the economy, human services, and taxes are all related to the perception of Atlantans feeling in need.
