LOADING ERROR LOADINGFederal agencies that took a hard line against coercive work contracts have retreated under President Donald Trump’s new appointees, and Democrats in Congress want to know why. ), joined by 44 other Democrats, sent letters to several agencies Wednesday demanding to know what they were doing to combat the growth of “stay-or-pay” employment agreements. “Unfortunately, the Trump Administration has abandoned efforts to protect workers from anticompetitive practices – such as TRAP’s – that suppress worker mobility and drive down wages,” the lawmakers wrote. But, as Lee and Markey noted, the NLRB has withdrawn that guidance since Trump’s appointees were put into place. Rep. Summer Lee told Trump appointees she was concerned that federal agencies have stopped combating the use of "TRAP" agreements.

This scam works because it’s tempting to believe your lost phone is within reach. Just go directly to Apple.“It’s highly unlikely that Apple would send you an unsolicited text message about your lost iPhone. Instead of trusting a random text message, take matters into your own hands and use the built-in tools your phone has. If you believe your lost phone has been compromised, change your Apple Account password immediately, so that a scammer can’t access your valuable personal information. If you get a suspicious message from Apple, take a screenshot of the message and email the screenshot to reportphishing@apple.com.

Since the spring semester of 2023, it has been apparent that an ever-increasing number of students are submitting AI-generated work. Plagiarism detectors have and do work well enough for what I might call “classical cheating,” but they are notoriously bad at detecting AI-generated work. Advertisement AdvertisementAdvertisement AdvertisementSo, I set out this semester to look more carefully for AI work. To be brief, I inserted hidden text into an assignment’s directions that the students couldn’t see but that ChatGPT can. Thirty-six of my AI students completed it.
