Innovative model ‘smart school’ in HCMC needing more resourcesIn the conference ‘The application of 4.0 technology into building a smart school in Ho Chi Minh City’, held by Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Education and Training on March 27, leaders of many high schools stated that the model ‘smart school’ would have very positive effects on learners. If approved by HCMC People’s Committee, the supposed model will be piloted in the academic year 2018-2019 in Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School as well as some primary schools, junior high schools, and high schools in District 1 and District 12. The smart school will operate on the basis of applying information and communication technologies into management and organization of educational activities. Leaders of many high schools stated in the conference that the model ‘smart school’ would have very positive effects on learners. Yet the project is left undone although it seems even more feasible than the ‘smart school’ project.

First mountain-climbing railway route to open in VietnamA train line connecting Sa Pa town and the Mount Fansipan cable car station will be put into operation on March 31. The “mountain-climbing railway route” is invested by Sun Group in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai and runs to Sun World’s Fansipan Legend tourism area. The 2-km-long route with two tunnels and four viaducts allows trains to run at a maximum speed of 10m/s.
