Highlighting Morocco’s infrastructure achievements over the past 25 years, coinciding with King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne, Conflicts mentioned the kingdom’s development of numerous energy projects, including solar and wind energy, citing the Noor solar projects in Ouarzazate, Boujdour, and Tafilalt, as well as wind energy and green hydrogen projects with recent agreements with Germany.

North Korea uses military helicopters to rescue thousands from floods

North Korea has said it used military helicopters to evacuate more than 5,000 people from severe flooding in the northwest of the country near the Chinese border. North Korea has seen record-breaking downpours. South Korea’s meteorological administration said it was the highest rainfall recorded in North Korea in 29 years. Floods in North Korea often cause serious damage because of poor drainage, deforestation and dilapidated infrastructure.

North Korean officials seek medicines for Kim's obesity-related health problems, Seoul says
SEOUL, South Korea — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has regained weight and appears to have obesity-related health problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and his officials are looking for new medicines abroad to treat them, South Korea’s spy agency told lawmakers on Monday. Both his father and grandfather, who ruled North Korea before his 2011 inheritance of power, died of heart issues. Zimbabwe: Solar energy plant to increase its capacity to 25MW
The first grid-connected solar energy farm in Zimbabwe is to increase its capacity from 2MW to 25MW. Independent power producer Centragrid said the 25MW plant will comprise approximately 70,000 solar modules arranged into 10 power blocks, each with a capacity of 2.5MWdc. The 25MW plant will cover a land area of about 50 hectares. Solar and wind energy projects to add 750MW to grid in Egypt
Egypt is set to boost its electricity capacity by 750MW in the next few months through two renewable energy projects. The projects, with a total investment of $700 million, are expected to “significantly contribute to Egypt’s renewable energy goals.”The wind energy initiative will have a capacity of 250MW. The solar energy station will have a capacity of 500MW. The ministry noted that the implementation progress of the solar energy station in Kom Ombo has surpassed 75%. These include switching to using solar energy, recycling metals and water and using modern technologies to reduce waste and double production using the same resources.

Turkey considers Libya offshore hydrocarbons explorations – The North Africa Post
Turkish energy minister said his country is planning to conduct offshore explorations in Libyan waters in search of oil and gas. Ankara and Tripoli are close to reaching an agreement to launch the explorations, energy minister Alparslan Bayraktar told Sabah newspaper. Bayraktar said that, while Turkey invests in explorations in the Mediterranean, it also attaches a higher importance to the black sea. In November 2019, Turkey and the UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya signed agreements for military cooperation and the demarcation of maritime boundaries. This agreement has been a point of contention, as it delineates maritime boundaries between Turkey and Libya in the Mediterranean, which Greece and Cyprus view as an infringement on their own maritime zones.

Man Utd are right to want a new 100,000-capacity Old Trafford - but Sir Jim Ratcliffe & Co. - not UK taxpayers - must stump up the cash for 'Wembley of the North'
They have appointed a new CEO, sporting director and technical director and revamped the training ground. The most radical and significant step, however, is about to follow: the eventual demolition of Old Trafford and the building of a brand new, 100,000-capacity stadium in its place. It is a bold move that breaks with tradition, and it will be gut-wrenching to see the club’s historic home razed to the ground. It will also cost the club dear, to the tune of around £2 billion ($2.5bn). Yet one thing should be clear: however ambitious the project is, Ratcliffe and the club should be the ones financing it, not the British taxpayer.
