Lürssen is a German company for the manufacture of ships, founded in 1875 by Friedrich Lürssen. The company manufactures yachts and warships of all kinds, including missile boats and frigates.

Meteorologists predict another heatwave to hit Egypt in the middle of next week, on Tuesday, as temperatures decrease from last week’s spike. Very hot weather will prevail in Upper Egypt and South Sinai, with cooler but still hot temperatures predicted for the north coast and hot and humid weather in Cairo and the Delta. Temperatures will grow moderate but remain humid over Cairo and the other regions at night. Light rain is expected over Shalateen, Halayeb and Abu Simbel on Friday and Saturday, with northwest winds blowing over Cairo, South Sinai, the southernmost part of the country, and the northwest coast. The weather will remain very hot weather in Upper Egypt and hot, humid weather in Cairo on Saturday.

CAIRO – 23 July 2021: Non-vaccinated people will not be allowed into private and public facilities in Saudi Arabia, according to a report by the Labor Representation Office at the Egyptian Consulate General in Riyadh. This decision will applied as of August 1, while everyone will be complied with the precautionary measures to preserve public health. “The ministry confirmed that the condition of vaccination will be mandatory to enter commercial centers, malls, wholesale and retail stores, public benefit markets, restaurants and cafes, men's barbershops and women's beauty salons in KSA,” said Labor Attaché Ahmed Ragai, head of the Labor Representation Office in Riyadh. The price of diesel will remain standing at LE 6.75 per liter and mazut for the industrial sector will stand at LE 3900 per ton. Egypt has raised the prices of fuel many times over the past few years, the last of which was in April, when the committee raised the price of gasoline by 25 piasters.

Following a viral Facebook photo of a person carrying a lion cub on his shoulder and roaming the streets of Ain Sokhna in Egypt’s Suez Governorate, security services in the area made a statement. According to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior, Wednesday, the person in the photo was a photographer residing in Cairo who was found in possession of a 5-month-old lion cub without a license. The man intended to photograph the lion at a resort as part of his job, according to the statements. He was arrested by forces of the Suez Security Directorate and will have charges pressed against him.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced the completion of the second filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), stressing that the step will not harm downstream countries, in reference to Egypt and Sudan. Ahmed published on his Twitter account that the second filling of the Renaissance Dam took place on July 20, and that Ethiopia filled the dam with caution during the rainy season. Member of the Ethiopian negotiating team in the GERD file Yilma Selechel said on Wednesday that the dam’s second filling “removed all ambiguities raised by Egypt and Sudan regarding the impact of the dam on downstream countries.”Selechel added that completing the second filling is a great achievement and proves wrong those who doubted that Ethiopia could successfully fill the dam. On Monday, Ethiopia announced that it had completed the dam’s second filling, reassuring Egypt and Sudan that the dam’s operation would not disrupt water flow to the two countries. Minister of International Cooperation Rania al-Mashat praised Egypt’s ranking on the Economist magazine’s Global Normalcy Index, which tracks the global return to pre-pandemic life. CAIRO – 22 July 2021: Member of Hospitality Establishments Chamber Hisham al-Shaer told Al Watan newspaper Thursday that the occupancy rate of Alexandria and North Coast hotels during Eid Al Adha is 95 percent of the maximum 70 percent occupancy rate designated by the government because of COVID-19. Shaer elaborated that the great majority of customers at the time are Egyptians and Arabs, and that such high occupancy rate is estimated to continue until the end of August. He further added that some hotels have reached the maximum occupancy rate already. The businessman pointed out that the North Coast succeeded in becoming the second favorite Egyptian destination for Arab tourists after Cairo. That is because of the introduction of cinemas, aqua parks, and outing venues that are suitable for families.
