Two people have been shot dead while scores of others sustained bullet injuries during anti-government demonstrations in Kibwezi, Makueni County. Sources told the Star that at least five other protesters sustained bullet wounds and are currently undergoing treatment at the Amref Kibwezi hospital within the Kibwezi subcounty. It's said that agitated protesters moved the bodies on hospital stretchers to the Kibwezi police station in protests. Upon reaching the station's main entrance, they were reportedly repulsed by police officers who shot in the air. Elsewhere in Kitengela, Kajiado County, another person was allegedly shot dead by police officers who were responding to the demonstrations in the area.
