Police are investigating the discovery of a woman's body found floating on a river in Bahati estate, Nairobi. Residents informed police they had sighted the body floating on the river while facing downwards. The body of the woman was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy. Police said the body, which had no visible injuries, was removed to the Nairobi Funeral Home(formerly City Mortuary) awaiting a postmortem examination. However, to prevent the chaos we just witnessed, this is the time to accelerate the enactment of the Public Participation Bill 2023, into law. A well-defined and outlined public participation framework is the panacea for the many petitions and protests involving lawmaking. Once enacted, the government must ensure that the law is effectively implemented both in letter and spirit in order to make public participation meaningful.

He said one recycling factory was found to be operating illegally and also produced pellets labelled as fish food.
