Every offseason I feel this team ends up in the same spot when it comes to a running back. So, I ranked the 2026 free agent running back class the only way that makes sense to me: through a Cowboys fan’s eyes. Dallas Cowboys Running Back Needs in 2026For the Dallas Cowboys, running back isn’t about flash nowadays. This team needs someone who protects Dak Prescott, keeps the offense on schedule, and holds up over a full season. Dallas needs more of that.

Celestica (CLS.TO)(CLS) shares fell nearly 17 per cent on Thursday, as investors considered the software and hardware producer’s upsized spending plans for 2026. Once a part of IBM’s (IBM) Canadian subsidiary, Toronto-based Celestica describes itself as a leader in data centre infrastructure and advanced technology solutions. At the same time, Celestica says it’s eyeing 2026 capital spending of about $1 billion, or six per cent of its latest revenue guidance. RBC Capital Markets analyst Paul Treiber says the company pegged its 2026 spending plan at two to 2.5 per cent of revenue in its guidance last quarter. Earlier this week, he cut his price targets on seven Canadian technology stocks, citing risk from artificial intelligence (AI) disruption.

CALGARY — While Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre awaits his fate from delegates in the party’s heartland, it will be his newest additions to caucus that will be given the spotlight at convention. The speakers will be a show of what the party achieved under Poilievre as delegates prepare to vote on whether to keep him as leader. Sandra Cobena and Costas Menegakis, who each captured seats in Ontario’s must-win Greater Toronto Area, were also set to take the stage over the three-day convention, with Poilievre set to speak on Friday night. It is wins like these that Poilievre and his closest supporters have been emphasizing to delegates ahead of the convention. Periversoff recently met the Conservative leader at an event held in a neighbouring riding, one of the many Poilievre has been holding in the lead up to his leadership vote.

Videos making false claims about Canada's immigration policies are popping up on TikTok and Instagram in an attempt to scam travellers coming to FIFA World Cup matches this summer, according to immigration and anti-fraud experts. Another common claim that CBC News observed in the videos was the existence of a special category for visitors travelling to Canada for the World Cup. But a special visitor's visa for the World Cup does not exist, and the normal checks and balances for entering the country still apply, Lidher said. I will argue here that, in judging Canada’s past, which Quebec nationalist circles reproach for conquest and assimilation, one must consider the tragic nature of universal history. It is only recently, during the 20th century, that conquest war was outlawed in international law. In our case, it is fortunate for the French-Canadian population that the conquest transferred them from the French regime to the British regime rather than from the French regime to the domination of the New England settlers. This is how France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States became more homogeneous as they modernized.

OTTAWA — Half of Canadians believe it would be unethical for Mark Carney’s Liberal government to achieve a majority by attracting opposition MP floor crossers, according to a new poll. Advertisement AdvertisementAdvertisement AdvertisementBut 63 per cent of Conservatives say MPs should be barred from being able to change parties. But with the Liberals within reach of a razor-thin majority, 51 per cent of respondents say it would be “unethical” for the government to do so by adding more floor-crossing MPs. Since Ma joined Liberal ranks in mid-December, many Liberals have suggested there could be more floor crossers joining the party. The poll, which surveyed 1,611 people online between Jan. 23 and 26, suggests Canadians overall are divided on the ethics of floor crossing.

This happened at a time when the sports world was being overwhelmed by stories of sexual or physical abuse. The first time we met was in 2019, as I was advocating for athletes demanding change. What I didn’t know was that Kirsty herself was a former gymnast and had also experienced emotional abuse as a child athlete. Kirsty told me that she would fight for this and, listening to the passion in her voice, I believed her. When the Trudeau government did not act on these recommendations she publicly admonished them in a way only Kirsty could, with kind firmness.

Every year it turns into the same conversation—length, speed, wingspan, testing numbers—and somehow the actual games start mattering less and less. When I went back and studied this defensive class, a pretty clear divide showed up. The Guys I Think Are Getting Too Much Draft LovePeter Woods, DT—ClemsonI’ll start here because I know how this sounds. The Guys Who Don’t Get Enough Credit From Draft ExpertsJermod McCoy, CB—TennesseeThis ones simple for me.
