So far, that ballot is slated to be full of familiar faces, as most incumbents for School Committee and City Council have already returned papers as of last Friday. Besides Dumais and Tunnera, ward council seats are held by Laura Wagner, David Doucette, John Irish, Sean Navin and Donald Landers. The School Committee has three members whose four-year terms expire this year. Denise E. Ryan and Michelle B. Bodin-Hettinger have each returned papers, but the third incumbent, Earl J. Geary, pulled papers in May but has yet to return them. The mayor serves as chair of the School Committee, so if re-elected, Vigeant would continue in that role.

MARLBOROUGH — Police say an unidentified man tried to burglarize a Maple Street gas station early last Saturday, then stole money meant for a charity from a nearby fast food restaurant. Sometime early on Saturday morning, the man went to the Gulf Gas Station, 233 Maple St., which was closed, and tried to pry its door open, Detective Scott DeCiero said Monday. When his efforts failed, the man went into the bathroom, which can be accessed from outdoors, and tried to get into the store portion of the gas station through the ceiling, but failed in that attempt as well, DeCiero said. “Right after, it appears he went over to the nearby McDonald’s,” said DeCiero of the burger chain's 250 Maple St. site. Police say the suspect is a white man with a thick, dark beard.

Of course, when you had Tom Brady, the running game was never going to be the focus. If there were to be a year when the Patriots' running game would be the focus of the offense, this could be it. And if there were to be a season when a Patriots running back would eclipse the 1,000-yard mark, Damien Harris should be the answer. Harris led the Patriots with 691 rushing yards last season, but it sounded as if Belichick expects more from the 2019 third-round pick. What can I do to make this team better?

Unlike reports that emerged following the crash, Russell says Aaliyah had repeatedly refused to board the plane, and instead was given a sleeping pill after telling her team that she had a headache and wanted to take a nap. The singer then fell asleep in the back of the taxi, and was carried onto the plane while unconscious. “They took her out of the van; she didn’t even know she was getting boarded on a plane,” Russell tells Iandoli. “[The airport staff] and Aaliyah had the common sense that the plane was overweight,” Russell says in the book. “The only thing I’ve taken with me is that after 20 years, I can finally say that Aaliyah didn’t want to get on the plane," Iandoli told The Daily Beast.
