TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 170 Palestinian children held in Israeli jails are subjected to different kinds of abuses. This is according to Under Secretary of the Palestinian Social Development Ministry Assem Khamis, addressing a regional conference in Doha on Sunday. He called for protecting the Palestinian children from Israeli violations inside jails. The Palestinian official accused Israel of constantly obstructing the lives of the Palestinians. He also called for holding Israel responsible for violations against Palestinian children.

Egyptian Red Crescent extends support to Sudanese people on the Egyptian-Sudanese border - ERCCAIRO – 29 May 2023: Egypt has received more than 164,000 Sudanese people since the outbreak of the crisis in Sudan in mid-April, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Twitter. Reviewing Egypt’s efforts to support the Sudanese people, Abu Zeid said Egypt has issued thousands of visas to the Sudanese brothers, while women, children and the elderly have been granted access on the spot without visas. The country also provided medications to 1,050 patients with chronic diseases, Abu Zeid said. A humanitarian center was also established by the Egyptian Red Crescent at the border crossings and ensured freedom of movement. There have been no border closures or refugee camps or movement restrictions or discriminatory measures or forced returns, Abu Zeid added.

President of African Federation of Construction Contractors Associations (AFCCA) Hassan Abdelaziz has stated that Africa needs 10 million low-cost housing units annually to meet the increasing population growth. Abdelaziz said that foreign companies were acquiring these projects to reap huge returns and drain the continent’s bounties, especially as they bring their equipment, labor, and all building materials for projects. Accordingly, the Infrastructure and Energy of the African Union Commission agreed to the union’s request, as a preference rate of 7% was granted to African companies in bids funded by the African Development Bank. Abdelaziz added that major alliances and blocs have been established between Egyptian and African contracting companies to develop many major projects in Africa, highlighting the need to rehabilitate African contracting companies. He pointed out that Africa badly needs new and renewable energy projects, road projects, and then housing projects.

The film tells the story of a couple who own a fast food cart, who somehow get involved in a drug case and must prove their innocence to the police and catch the real culprits.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has met with members of the Real Estate Development Chamber in the presence of Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar, to discuss some solutions and proposals to revive the local property market, Tarek Shoukry, Chairperson of the Real Estate Development Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, has said. The chamber proposed 10 measures to boost the sector growth and increase its sales. 2) Establish a special unit affiliated to the cabinet to carry out property ownership, residency, and citizenship procedures within 30 days. He highlighted the state’s interest and support for the real estate sector as one of the sectors driving the Egyptian economy with a contribution rate of up to 20% of GDP with job opportunities amounting to 5 million direct job opportunities. He elaborated that the local market enjoys huge investment opportunities and a legislative climate that attracts all investors, and a real demand for all residential units.

CAIRO – 28 May 2023: Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine al-Qabbaj received Friday Syrian counterpart Loai Emad El Din al-Menaged to confer over cooperation in the fields of civil society, governance of the donation system, gender equality, and empowerment of the disabled and vulnerable groups. Minister Qabbaj pointed out that the performance of the Egyptian civil society improved in the past years, and that it has been taking part in many national and developmental projects. Furthermore, an electronic platform was launched to provide services to the civil society, while a national strategy for volunteering will be launched soon. As for the economic empowerment of vulnerable segments, the minister shed light on Takaful w Karama, the monetary subsidies programme, assisting five million families. In turn, Minister al-Menaged requested a technical visit from the Egyptian side to Syria to learn about the Egyptian experience with the NGOs' electronic platform, coordinate fairs, and discuss the delivery of social protection to Syrian workers in Egypt.

Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), has announced that the agency provides various training programmes to develop medium and small industrial enterprises in a number of important productive sectors, with the aim of helping them expand, increase production, raise the efficiency of their products and develop them, which increases their ability to export. Rahmi explained that the agency is currently cooperating with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), one of the largest development institutions, to implement an integrated training program for industrial projects within the “Innovation in the Private Sector” project. He stressed that the agency is keen on cooperating with various international and donor agencies to provide support for the owners of SMEs, and implement the state’s directions to develop this sector and focus on industrial projects as well as increase their productive capabilities. Owners of companies, SMEs, and customers of MSMEDA can apply for these courses free of charge no later than 31 May, especially industrial companies or suppliers in the food, chemical, engineering, and packaging and printing industries. One of the top conditions is that the company is already established, registered and has been operating for at least three years.

CFI Financial Group has revealed its intention to expand in four new countries within five months, bringing the total countries of operation to 14 before the end of 2023. The company’s management revealed, in an interview with Daily News Egypt, that it provides its services in London, Larnaca, Dubai, Amman, Beirut, and Port Louis. Hisham Mansour, CEO of the company, said that Egypt was the 10th country in which CFI expanded. Dust storms are expected to continue on Sunday nationwide, especially in the Red Sea mountains, southern Egypt and open areas in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt. The EMA also expects light to moderate rain that can turn into thunderstorm in the northern coasts, Lower Egypt and Suez Canal cities. He explained that talking about the government’s commitment to increasing the participation of the private sector in the Egyptian economy is not within the prerogative of the CBE. He explained that there is a dedicated programme to attract the private sector investment. It will ensure not only the offering of 32 companies for private investments with a total of $40bn, but that private sector investments will significantly exceed this target. The CBE governor explained that, as an Egyptian citizen, he believes that the Egyptian private sector has always enjoyed strength, as the state supports it and encourages it to expand continuously. Abdalla said that Africa enjoys the highest return on investment in the world for the private sector.

President Sisi said that the stability of Sudan will have positive results not only for the Sudanese people, but also for all regional parties, adding that Egypt affirmed the utmost importance of close coordination with neighboring countries to resolve the crisis and restore security and stability in Sudan. “Egypt has received about 150,000 Sudanese citizens to date since [the outbreak of the crisis in Sudan], in addition to hosting [already] about 5 million Sudanese citizens,” said President Sisi, calling on relief agencies and donor countries to provide the necessary support to neighboring countries. 2- The necessity of preserving the national state institutions in Sudan to protect the state from the danger of collapse. The role of regional parties is to help stop the conflict and achieve consensus on resolving the causes that led to it. 4- The necessity for coordination to deal with the humanitarian repercussions of the Sudanese crisis as they extend beyond the borders of Sudan.
