Sisi, Kiir agree to work on finding urgent solutions to Sudanese crisis
After meeting with the South Sudanese president in Cairo, Sisi said in a press conference with Kiir that they agreed on urging the various Sudanese parties to prioritize supreme national interests of Sudan over personal interests. Sisi added that such personal interests and foreign interference would deepen and extend the crisis and increase the suffering of the Sudanese people. “We have affirmed that Egypt and South Sudan have a pivotal role in the Sudanese crisis with the necessity of not ignoring any initiatives or endeavors made to settle the crisis,” Sisi said durig the presser. “We also emphasized the centrality of the path of neighboring countries and the results of its meetings in settling the crisis,” Sisi added. The Egyptian president stressed his country’s full support for the efforts of Kiir and all South Sudanese parties to achieve peace in the country.

CFEC, Tankoil sign agreement to support chemical, fertilizer exports
The Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CFEC) and Tankoil Group have entered into a cooperation agreement to assist CFEC member companies in exporting their chemical products and fertilizers to various markets around the world. Israel’s attacks on Gaza kill 9,770 people, including 4,800 children
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza reached 9,770 on Sunday, the 30th day of the ongoing conflict. Among the victims, 4,800 were children and 2,550 were women, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Gaza: Blinken rejects Abbas’ request for ceasefire
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken rejected on Sunday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s request for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, according to a Palestinian official. The official told Xinhua that Blinken reaffirmed during his meeting with Abbas in the West Bank city of Ramallah “Israel’s right to defend itself and continue its military campaign” in Gaza. He said Blinken had promised to pressure Israel to avoid harming civilians and provide safe corridors for humanitarian relief, but refused to discuss cease-fire mechanisms at this stage. Turkish FM makes phone call to Egyptian counterpart on Gaza War
CAIRO – 5 November 2023: Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan made Sunday a phone call to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shokry to exchange views on pushing forward an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza in order to protect civilians and deliver aid. There was congruence among the two ministers on the salience of ending the current tragic situation as soon as possible. In that framework, they discussed the security and humanitarian repercussions of the Israeli aggression, and its impact on both regional and international peace and security. Hence, they stressed the importance of inhibiting the extension of violence to other areas in the region. One, however, proved to be elusive; King Tutankhamun, whose resting place had yet to be found and who Egyptologists knew very little about. Alas, even after five years of work, Carter wasn’t able to report back on anything substantial.

Al-Sisi reaffirms support for Lebanon, calls for peace in Gaza

Israeli aggression kills 9,488 people, targets 105 health facilities: Gaza Health Ministry
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has claimed the lives of 9,488 people, including 3,900 children and 2,509 women, as well as injuring 24,158 others, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday. The ministry also said that 150 medical personnel were among the dead and 27 ambulances were destroyed by the Israeli attacks. The ministry added that 105 health institutions were deliberately targeted by the Israeli occupation forces, rendering 16 hospitals and 32 primary care centers out of service due to the damage and the shortage of fuel. The ministry also called on the international community to review its positions regarding the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and to hold the Israeli occupation accountable and stop its aggressions. The ministry appealed to all institutions and parties to provide safe passage for the delivery of medical aid and fuel to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, especially Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the Indonesian Hospital, before a major catastrophe occurs.
