It was after this that the Organised Labour had given notice that it was going to embark on a sit-at-home strike on Monday, July 10. But the swift intervention of the Council of State has seen the group call off its plan,The report added that the Council has however given the management of Sunon Asogli working days to reinstate the dismissed union leaders. Technically, the strike has been put on hold until the expiration of the five-days ultimatum given them by the Council of State. We may have an Attorney- General who is the principal legal advisor to the president, but we don’t have a minister of justice. Despite the criminal trial against the Assin North MP, Sammy Gyamfi indicated that the NDC will endure the current situation and come out even stronger.

Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi, in his submission said all the 275 members of Parliament are in full support of the bill. However, the subsequent question posed by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, left the chamber filled with giggles. In response, Speaker Bagbin decided to challenge the claim by inviting those who disagreed with the assertion to speak up. The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021, popularly known as the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, aims to criminalize LGBTQ+ activities. TWI NEWSIt also aims to prohibit the promotion or advocacy of such activities, and ensure the protection and support of children and individuals affected by LGBTQ+ issues.

Her family has announced that her final funeral rite will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Christ the King Parish, Accra.

Captain Smart, is said to have made ethnocentric comments on his show describing the Western North Region as the most useless region created by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. A member of the council in a later interview called on the National Media Commission (NMC) to rein in Captain Smart and others like him who make inflammatory statements that are inimical to peace. He also stated that the Western North Region would forthwith have nothing to do with Smart’s employees, Media General Group: “here in the useless region, why do you send representative here?” he quizzed. The Western North Region is one of the six new regions of Ghana created in 2019.
