The unknown murderers used concrete blocks, sticks, stones, and other hard objects to pummel him to death on Wednesday night. The objects used to pummel the young man to his death were still surrounding him upon the arrival of the police after the information got to them. The body was conveyed to the Walewale Government hospital morgue by the municipal police for an autopsy and preservation.

The Minister of Roads and Highways has disputed assertions that road tolls have been abolished by the government. According to the minister, the legislation backing the collection of tolls on public roads remains active despite a decision by the government to cease toll collection in November 2021. The minister for roads subsequently issued a directive announcing the cessation of toll collection. However, the finance minister, exactly a year later, has announced that the government will reintroduce toll collection on selected roads in 2023. Speaking on the reintroduction of tolls, the roads minister has hinted that toll rates will likely go up starting in 2023.

Responding to claims by former President John Dramani Mahama that Ghanaians want the NDC back in power, Adomako Baafi speaking on Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia, said the NDC can never be the best alternative for Ghanaians. The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a full list of all aspirants who are qualified to contest for national executive positions in the upcoming December 17, 2022 congress. In all there are 81 aspirants with a total of 14 positions being contested from the Chairmanship through the General Secretary slot to the Organizer, Youth Organizer, Women's Organizer, National Communications Officer and the National Executive Committee (NEC) slots. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo will come up against three others including the incumbent General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, with watchers calling it a two-horse race. With respect to the General Secretary contest, it is between three known faces in the NDC, the incumbent Deputy General Secretary Peter Boamah Otokunor, Director of Elections of the NDC, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, a former MP. The only aspirant whose position is secured is Sammy Gyamfi who is unopposed for the National Communications Officer position which he currently holds.
