Pat EastSpecial to The Herald-TimesIn his March 2024 “It’s Your Business” column, John Fernandez, The Mill’s senior vice president for innovation and strategic partnerships, elaborated on how the Trades District is set to reshape Bloomington’s future. Under John’s leadership, The Mill has made significant strides in advancing the city’s vision for the Trades District since March. The LOI includes the sale of two parcels in the Trades District for $1.2 million to build a premium brand hotel. The Trades District hotel will cement the district as a destination for business, innovation and collaboration, and offers new lodging, dining and meeting spaces. As John noted in his March column, the Trades District isn’t just about buildings and businesses; it’s about creating a future where Bloomington thrives as a hub for innovation and opportunity.

The noise-canceling is 95%, so reviewers say if you're looking for 100% cancellation, you might want to splurge on the name brand. So, instead of (or before) committing to the $500 version, I thought trying these for a test run would be good. Not only this, but I’ve been fascinated by the longevity of the battery life. I’ve used these headphones for about 4-5 hours consecutively over a matter of days and still have over 50% battery life. These are, by far, the best headphones I’ve had, and would recommend to everyone."

The Blitzboks finished the HSBC Sevens Madrid Grand Final tournament in sixth position after they beat Australia in their first game on Sunday, but then came unstuck against Ireland. After losing their three pool matches against Ireland, New Zealand and Fiji the Blitzboks delivered their best performance of the weekend in the fifth-place semifinal against Australia on Sunday morning, winning 24-21. However, they could not replicate that in the fifth-place playoff against the Irish, who won a close contest 12-7. The Blitzboks showed great resilience against Australia to clinch their only victory of the weekend. Ben Dowling's try put Australia back in the lead, but then Quewin Nortje underlined his promise with a superb solo try as he hacked the ball ahead and outpaced the defence to score under the sticks.
