Malaysia-Singapore Workers Task Force president Dayalan Sreebalan said Singapore’s move would cause more hardship to Malaysians working in the island republic. “I came back to Malaysia in October last year and the quarantine period was 14 days. He added that the extended quarantine period would affect the workers’ salaries as their annual leave would be deducted and those not having enough days would have to take unpaid leave. He said his company wanted him to pay for the quarantine charges if he wanted to return to Malaysia for a break to see his family.

The remarks are the clearest indication yet that Biden's April order to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by Sept. 11 extended to U.S.-funded contractors. Asked whether the Pentagon had issued orders to withdraw not just American troops but also contractors, Austin said: "We're going to responsibly retrograde all of our capabilities that we are responsible for and the contractors fall in that realm as well." Speaking with reporters, Austin said the contractors could, however, renegotiate their contracts in the future. As of April, there were nearly 17,000 Pentagon contractors, including about 6,150 Americans, 4,300 Afghans and 6,400 from other countries. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said there had been sustained levels of violent attacks against Afghan security forces but none against U.S. and coalition forces since May 1.

The technology at the time was also not advanced enough to allow scientists to observe the microscopic activities of the brain and the brain behaviour of patients who had suffered from damage to the organ. My brain health is no longer dictated by the size and weight of the brain I was born with, but rather what I do with it. As you think, neural connections form between your brain cells, or neurons. The more you work your brain, the more you strengthen the neural connections and enhance your cognitive skills. These increase connectivity between brain regions and help form new neural networks, strengthening brain density.

The Facebook group called “Migrate” has garnered more than 800,000 members in less than a week of being set up. Much of the private group’s discussions center around better job and wealth prospects that other countries can offer, compared to fewer opportunities in Thailand. The current flareup in coronavirus in Thailand, which started early April, has more than doubled the number of cases and deaths. The group is planning to launch a website that will compile information about emigration shared among members for the benefit of anyone wanting to leave Thailand. “It’s a vote of no-confidence by the people,” said Paul Chambers, a lecturer at Naresuan University’s Center of Asean Community Studies in northern Thailand.

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian citizens in certain parts of India will be repatriated following concerns over the sharp spike in the number of Covid-19 cases there, says the Foreign Ministry. Hishammuddin said Malaysians who will be brought home on this mission are to do Covid-19 swab tests before departure and upon arrival in Malaysia. The Foreign Minister said this mission would not involve the southern and eastern regions in India as the situation there is under control. India's Covid-19 cases spiked in April to daily record highs, and experts warn the country's worsening health crisis could scuttle efforts to end the global pandemic. One in every four deaths in the past week are from India, it said.
