Israel’s cybersecurity directorate said it had identified “dozens of Iranian breaches into security cameras for espionage purposes” since the start of the war in the Middle East, urging the public to be vigilant. “The directorate is working to alert hundreds of camera owners and calls on the public to change their passwords and update their software to prevent any security risk, whether national or personal,” Cyber Israel wrote on X Monday. Cyberattacks between Iran and Israel have been a frequent occurrence in recent years, as the two foes conducted a shadow war that culminated in open conflict last June and again on February 28. Iran‑linked hackers have stepped up their operations in the region since strikes began on the country, an expert told AFP. Last week, the Financial Times reported that Israel had hacked nearly all of Tehran’s traffic cameras for years in preparation for the operation that killed Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, on the first day of the offensive.

In a ruling on November 24, 2025, Justice Toyin Adegoke of the Federal High Court in Akure granted the plaintiff’s request to amend the originating processes. Dissatisfied with the ruling, Aiyedatiwa lodged an appeal, alleging a breach of his constitutional right to a fair hearing. The appellate court, therefore, dismissed the appeal for lacking merit and awarded N2m in costs against the governor. The ruling affirmed the November 24, 2025, decision of the Federal High Court in Akure, which granted Egbuwalo leave to amend the originating summons in his suit challenging Aiyedatiwa’s eligibility for re-election. The panel further held that the order was necessary to preserve the res in the matter and prevent the appellate proceedings from being rendered nugatory.

Prices for 95-octane climbed by about 14.3 per cent to 24 pounds, the ministry said. Natural gas used for vehicles saw the largest hike, jumping 30 per cent to 13 pounds per cubic metre. Chinese state-run refiners are considering resuming crude imports from the United States after a nine-month suspension, driven by the ongoing supply crisis in the Middle East, S&P Global’s Platts reported on March 9. Last Thursday, China told its largest oil refiners to suspend exports of diesel and gasoline, Bloomberg News reported, citing unidentified sources, as the war in the Middle East risks an energy supply crunch. The move comes as NYMEX front-month crude surged $20.34 to $111.24 per barrel on March 8 amid disruptions to energy infrastructure caused by the war in the Middle East. China’s state-owned refineries are mandated to prioritize domestic energy supply over profits, according to market sources. If disruptions from the Middle East persist, Chinese refiners are expected to draw on these abundant reserves while weighing potential resumption of US crude imports.

The latest price revision comes hours after The PUNCH projected that petrol prices could rise for the third time within a week following the temporary suspension of petrol sales at the refinery on Sunday. It also revised the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil, commonly known as diesel, to N1,620 per litre. The new price is the third surge in petrol prices within a week, following adjustments that pushed gantry prices from N774 to N995 per litre. Officials, however, warned that the intervention may not immediately translate into lower petrol prices for consumers. Nigerians currently grapple with high fuel prices, following the recent hikes in the cost of the commodities by the $20bn Lekki-based refinery.

“The delay was caused by salary shortfalls recorded in the personnel cost allocations of the affected MDAs,” the statement read. “The Office of the Accountant-General has communicated with the affected MDAs to liaise with the Cash Management Office of the Federal Ministry of Finance to resolve the issue of the salary shortfalls,” the statement added. “The delay in salary payment for the affected organisations was strictly due to these shortfalls, confirming that salaries for other federal workers had already been paid,” the statement noted. However, the salaries of the affected workers had been paid to the bank,” the statement said. The OAGF assured workers affected by the delays that efforts were ongoing to resolve the issues and ensure that the outstanding salaries are paid promptly.

Sex education advocates in the US have long hoped that states would one day follow more comprehensive and inclusive guidelines for teaching sex ed to students in grades K-12. “When these hostile state legislatures try to limit or erase sex education in schools, the information doesn’t just disappear. “We’re not just a denomination that happens to offer sex ed,” said Amy Johnson, minister for sexuality education and justice for the UCC. “This is something that our faith believes in.”Both Johnson and Davis realize that churches are not typically spaces that offer comprehensive sex ed.
