Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), operator of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) and CNL Joint Venture, has decried the circulation of false recruitment information in various media channels. “We’re aware of the circulation of false recruitment information in several media and online channels in the name of CNL and Chevron Corporation, purportedly advertising job positions in CNL. “CNL hereby dissociates itself from all false job adverts and offers published in any newspaper, website, email, poster, handbill or any other medium. “Job offers requesting candidates to pay money, at any point during the recruitment process, are not from CNL. “CNL will not respond to enquiries about fraudulent advertisements and job offers,” the oil and gas giant warned.

A 102-year-old British woman, identified as Joyce Jackman, has attributed her longevity to good sex. A man who opened an emergency exit on an Asiana Airlines flight in mid-air felt “suffocated” and wanted to get off quickly, South Korean police said on Saturday. When the plane was around 200 meters (650 feet) above ground, the man who police said was in his 30s without providing further details, opened the exit door. The passenger was taken in by Daegu police for questioning and told officers he had been “under stress after losing a job recently”. Another video shared on social media showed passengers sitting in the emergency exit row next to an open door being buffeted by strong winds. “It was chaos with people close to the door appearing to faint one by one and flight attendants calling out for doctors on board,” a 44-year-old passenger told Yonhap.

Nestle S. A., the majority shareholder of Nestle Nigeria Plc, has bought an additional 40, 894 units of the shares of the consumer goods manufacturer. It was revealed that the shares were bought in five tranches and at different rates ranging from N1,034.56 to N1,140. Nestle Nigeria closed trading at N1,148 per share on the floor of the NGX on Thursday. In March, Nestle S.A. bought 77, 967 units of shares of the Nigerian arm for over N84m. Nestle recorded a 27 per cent growth in its revenue for last year to N446.81bn from N351.82bn in 2021.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled its new national carrier, Nigeria Air, with the aim of generating $1 billion in revenue within the next five years. Nigeria Air Limited is a company established under Nigerian laws, and is a partnership between Nigerian entrepreneurs and Ethiopian Airlines Consortium. The Aviation Minister added that the Ethiopian Airlines partnership provides capacity, which leaves no doubt that Nigeria Air would succeed. The Chief Commercial Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Lemma Yadecha Gudeta, praised the efforts of the federal government, assured that the project under the watch of the Ethiopian Airlines would foster economic development for the country. The prosecutor, Insp Olaide Rawlings, informed the court that the defendant committed the crime between March and May at Vanguard Pharmacy, Oke-Ilewo in Abeokuta, where he was the manager. Rawlings stated that the defendant took goods worth N751,035 from the pharmacy but did not remit the money to the company’s account. The accused committed offences that violated Sections 390(6) and 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006. Osinbajo, granted the defendant bail in the amount of N100,000, with two sureties.
