DK Metcalf might have nerves of steel ... but, a Detroit Lions fan got on his last one -- and video shows him taking a swing at the guy! The wild moment went down late in the second quarter of the Lions matchup against DK's Pittsburgh Steelers ... with the CBS broadcast first showing a tense convo between the veteran wide receiver and a DET fan in a bright blue wig. DK Metcalf appears to have an altercation with a Detroit fan pic.twitter.com/a478Zjg3tR — NFL on CBS 🏈 (@NFLonCBS) December 21, 2025 @NFLonCBSMetcalf then quickly reached up with his closed right fist ... seemingly landing a glancing blow on the fan's face before walking away. As broadcaster Jim Nantz says in the clip ... we'd assume DK will face some major consequences because of his actions -- though he wasn't removed from the important matchup against the Lions. According to ESPN ... because a flag wasn't thrown at the time, the NFL can't weigh in on disqualification -- which is the only reason they let the guy keep playing.

Exports fell by 14.3 per cent in Q2 2025 compared with Q2 2024 and plunged by 56.0 per cent in Q3 2025 relative to Q3 2024. In Q1 2025, Nigeria’s exports to the US were dominated by crude petroleum oils valued at N779.38bn, followed by urea at N240.17bn and kerosene-type jet fuel at N214.30bn. By Q2 2025, Nigeria’s export basket to the US had narrowed significantly, led by cocoa beans worth N37.39bn and urea valued at N106.44bn, alongside technically specified natural rubber at N10.43bn and leather products valued at N127.22m. With the US no longer among Nigeria’s top five export destinations by mid-2025 and imports accelerating rapidly, the figures highlight growing structural weaknesses in Nigeria’s trade position and the vulnerability of its export earnings to external policy shifts. “The bigger challenge for Nigeria’s trade relationship with the U.S. is Washington’s visa policy.

Fernandes has started every Premier League game this season, but the Portugal midfielder is unlikely to extend that run any further following his injury setback at Villa Park. “I will see what we are going to do,” Amorim said. United’s selection crisis has raised questions about the potential for new signings during the January transfer window, but Amorim won’t panic. “I’m not going to say ‘we need a lot of players’ because we have a plan.

The Federal Government has announced plans to tap into Nigeria’s largely informal vehicle recycling market, projecting annual revenues of over N150bn from 2026, as part of sweeping reforms to modernise the country’s automotive industry. “In developed countries, when you buy a new vehicle, during registration, you make a payment towards the disposal of that vehicle when it reaches the end of its life. The announcement comes against the backdrop of a rebound in Nigeria’s vehicle import market this year. The rebound underscores the resilience of Nigeria’s auto market, especially the fairly used (“Tokunbo”) segment, but also highlights persistent challenges, including high landing costs, currency exposure, and structural dependence on imports. “When the pushback comes, we need you to explain to Nigerians what we are trying to do and why,” he said, describing 2026 as a pivotal year for Nigeria’s automotive industry transformation.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria has been urged to extend health insurance coverage to petrol station workers, including pump attendants, cleaners, security personnel, managers, and other staff working in the downstream petroleum sector. In a statement issued on Sunday in Kaduna, the Convener of the Concerned Petrol Station Workers, Ibrahim Zango, said IPMAN should emulate NNPCL’s initiative to ensure the welfare and well-being of workers employed by independent marketers. Zango also clarified issues surrounding the leadership of the Concerned Petrol Station Workers, noting that the current structure was not formed through a formal election process. Zango noted that the current economic hardship and rising cost of healthcare had worsened the vulnerability of petrol station workers, many of whom earn modest wages. He therefore called on IPMAN to take immediate and concrete steps to provide health insurance coverage for workers under its membership across the country.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Adolphus Wabara, has expressed optimism that Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, may consider defecting to the PDP ahead of his second-term bid. Wabara said the party would not hesitate to present Otti as its governorship candidate in 2027 should he decide to join the PDP, describing the governor as a major asset to any political party. He said Otti had restored Abia State to the path of progress envisioned by its founding fathers, adding that joining the PDP would further enhance his chances in 2027. The PDP governed Abia State from 1999 until 2015, when the All Progressives Congress won the governorship. The PDP has been working to reposition itself ahead of the 2027 general elections.
