How would his joining the Congress impact this engagement would depend on his actually joining that party. One senior TRS leader said, “Why should you think there is a conflict? “Nothing to say... for now,” said a senior Congress leader. Needless to say, more than Prime Minister Narendra Modi or the BJP, the rival camps of the TRS and Congress are eagerly awaiting the final announcement of Mr Kishor joining the Congress.

Pakistan’s Fairy Godmother Bilquis Edhi Bows Out
Less than six years ago, on July 8, 2016, the nation had lost her legendary husband, Abdul Sattar Edhi, who was accorded a State Funeral. But who exactly was Bilquis Edhi and why will this grateful nation never forget her needs closer examination. The last time I met Abdul Sattar Edhi was in 2015 at a well-attended diplomatic reception in Karachi. Personally, I found the work of Bilquis Edhi to be more meticulous than even her equally noble husband. Bilquis Edhi herself had no inhibitions in washing mutilated bodies during the 1971 war along with her husband and other volunteers.

Imran Khan is the only politician who inspired me and my friends. I assume every young Pakistani loves his leadership as he never puts his head down. Moreover, we can see lots of videos made on Imran Khan to appreciate and praise his efforts, devotions, and bravery. It is 100% accurate that most Pakistani educated people who know the history of the politicians of Pakistan love him and are hurt after the end of his government because history witnesses that no politician was removed from ruling like him. He wasn’t removed due to corruption but because of his bravery and honesty.

Overall, it is all about human activities that have been the major driver of all these natural disasters. As a matter of fact, such green activities and natural canopies will definitely act as a protective layer against the so-called greenhouse effect. On top of all, public awareness is crucial to the fight against climate change. In fact, great efforts by green activists like Greta Thunberg towards climate change mitigation should be encouraged and appreciated.

LHC issues stay order to stop local body elections in 17 districts of Punjab
The Lahore High Court Multan Bench on Thursday has issued restraining order to stop the local body elections in 17 districts of Punjab on the petition against the Election Ordinance 2021. According to details, High Court Justice Shan Gul has issued a stay order to stop local body elections in various districts of Punjab. The apex court issued notices to the Election Commission and the Secretary Local Government seeking a reply on April 27. The petition was filed by the means of Councilor Rana Asif Saeed against the Election Ordinance 2021. It was further said that every step of the election was taken illegally, in the ordinance, election voting was to be done by machine but there is no such system available.

Congress, PK To Hold Further Deliberations After Power Point Presentation
According to party sources, a majority of Congress leaders are convinced with the plan mooted by PK, as Kishor is popularly known, but some are wary. Congress leaders who have been assigned to make a report on the presentation met on Thursday for discussions and the participants included Ambika Soni, A.K Antony, Jairam Ramesh, K.C Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala. Congress leaders have met several times with the poll strategist who suggested a roadmap to contest the 2024 elections and the ensuing six Assembly polls that will come in the run-up. On Saturday, Kishor presented a detailed roadmap for the 2024 elections before interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the party’s top leaders. According to sources, Kishor said during Saturday’s meeting that the Congress must target 370 to 400 seats and work on alliances wherever the party is weak.

UN General Assembly to debate veto powers of Security Council
Liechtenstein is set to bring up a draft resolution at the 193-member UN General Assembly that would require any of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council that exercises their veto power to justify its use. If adopted, the General Assembly will convene within 10 days when any of the permanent members of the council vetoes any resolution, be able to debate the vetoed issue, and request the nation that uses the veto right to defend its move. “The UN General Assembly resolution on the veto will be a significant step toward the accountability, transparency, and responsibility of all of the Permanent Members of the Security Council who wield its power.”Russia has been the most frequent user of the veto right. The first veto was used by the Soviet Union in 1946, and Russia has so far vetoed 120 resolutions. Russia is followed by the US, which used its veto power the most in the council.

Javed Hashmi calls for early elections to end 'political crisis'
Veteran politician Javed Hashmi on Wednesday called for early elections in the country, saying the nation won't accept the new prime minister and the cabinet as legitimate. "Elections must be held," Hashmi said in his first appearance on social media since the ouster of former prime minister Imran Khan. Govt to pull nation out of ‘debt trap’
Chairing his maiden cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday said the country was caught in a ‘debt trap’ and the coalition government had to pilot the nation out of it. Shehbaz assured the nation that the federal cabinet will work together to resolve the issues of unemployment and rising inflation. He further told the cabinet members that the new government had to take decisions that were in favour of the people of Pakistan. During the cabinet meeting, the federal cabinet approved a summary seeking removal of Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail’s name from the Exit Control List. Police arrest 8 anti-social elements from different areas
Attock – Police have arrested eight anti-social elements including three proclaimed offenders and five drug peddlers from different areas of the district. Cases under the act have been registered against them and the culprits have been sent behind the bars. The arrested proclaimed offenders include Muhammad Bilal resident of Domel, Muhammad Maroof resident of Chakwal and Zubair Hussain Shah. Similarly, police arrested five drug peddlers and recovered 2.5kg of hashish and 1.1kg of opium from their possession. The drug peddlers arrested include Abdul Manan resident of Bara, Muhammad Saeed resident of Khunda, Abdul Razaq resident of Hangu, Riaz Khan resident of Peshawar and Sanaullah resident of Torangabad.

Final Score: 5-2 OilersIs there anything better than watching a meaningful Oilers game when the sun is still out? Heading into the second period, the Oilers needed to keep the gas pedal to the floor and do what they could to get the next goal.
