4,000 Canadian families will soon get paid by Ontario for doing nothing


A single person could receive up to 16,989 Canadian dollars (about $12,500) per year, while a couple can get up to 24,027 Canadian dollars ($17,677) per year plus 6,000 ($4,414) extra dollars for a person with a disability. The entire program is expected to cost around 150 million Canadian dollars (about $110 million).
