The total number of shows participating in the twenty-ninth edition of CIFET in three diversified competitions are 44 plays from all over the world are competing. Regarding the short performances’ competition, (16) theatrical performances -ranging from 15-30 minutes- are participating from various countries and states: Egypt, Libya, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland. The jury of this competition houses the artist Mohsen Mansour who served as the head of the jury along with the members: Dr. Asmaa Yahia Al-Taher and decorator Hazem Shebl. The experimental theater competition houses 14 theatrical shows participating from multiple governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt: Beni Suef, Ismailia, Red Sea, Asyut, Minya, Giza, Cairo, Mansoura, Sharqia, Beheira, and Alexandria. It is noteworthy that the 29th edition of CIFET bears the name of the world-famous playwright Peter Brook.
