Fitness fanatics make it seem like going to the gym is akin to getting a massage, having some out-of-body experience and reaching peak mindfulness – all at once. And as I limped home, I realised for the first time that my fitness levels had reached a low point. The pain means you’re “doing it right”. “If you don't really enjoy doing activity, you need to find the activity, or the type of exercise, you're most likely to enjoy. Part of that could be down to fitness, but that’s a question I’ll need to ask a doctor.
