Air New Zealand is seeking millions of dollars in compensation from fuel companies over disruption caused by the closure of the refinery to Auckland fuel pipeline. While the airline declined to comment on the action, Z Energy and BP confirmed it was underway and would be contested. THE PRESS Air New Zealand faced major disruption during an outage to the pipeline which supplies fuel to Auckland in late 2017. While Refining New Zealand owns the 170km pipeline between Marsden Point and Auckland, Air New Zealand has direct relationships with the fuel companies.
