The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, has attended the World Defence Show 2026 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, following an official invitation. The exhibition, running from 8 to 12 February, is one of the world’s leading defence and security events, bringing together senior military delegations and major international defence companies. Organisers say the show features advanced military technologies, including air defence systems, drones, surveillance and communications equipment, cyber security tools and artificial intelligence applications for military use. It also includes national pavilions representing a wide range of countries and manufacturers, positioning the event as a global platform for showcasing the latest defence innovations. His participation comes as part of efforts by Libya’s General Staff to follow global military developments and strengthen the country’s presence at international defence forums.
