Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) announced today that its Director General, Ayman Al-Darwish, signed a memorandum of understanding with Egyptian company MAPSO Marine Propulsion, which specializes in marine technology and the supply of ship equipment and systems. The memorandum includes broad areas of cooperation, most notably:– The construction of marine fishing vessels as a first phase within the free zone. – The gradual expansion into the construction and maintenance of various types of marine vessels, including tugboats, boats, drilling rigs, and marine cranes. The exchange of expertise and technical skills will contribute to raising performance levels and developing the capabilities of workers in the Misrata Free Zone. MFZ reported that MAPSO, established in 1976, is a leading company in marine propulsion and the supply of marine components and systems for ships, with extensive experience in outfitting various types of marine vessels.
