PBA MEDIA BUREAU PHOTOALASKA routed Magnolia, 90-76, to even its best-of-seven championship series to 2-2 in the Philippine Basketball Association Season 43 Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday. Riding on a strong second half performance by import Mike Harris, the Aces built their biggest lead, 71-54, in the early part of the last canto and were never threatened after. Coach Alex Compton of Alaska though was upset by Magnolia’s physical game, particularly when Mark Barroca hit Chris Banchero in the groin under the final three-minute mark. The Hotshots failed to mount a rally in the second half, allowing Alaska to maintain its double-digit lead until the endgame.
