Democratic camp's convenor Wu chi-wai said the disqualifications, if any, would be ridiculous, slamming that the Communist Party disrespects the Basic Law and the voices of Hong Kong citizens. Alvin Yeung Ngok-kiu also said claims about them not fulfilling their duties as lawmakers are absurd. It is fairly simple for them to just be present in the meetings.” Yeung questioned.
