According to our Correspondents in that part of Liberia, citizens of the County in an exclusive interview said they have been assured by some executives of the CDC that Mr. Charles Ghankay Taylor will only return if the CDC is elected to take state power. This report was confirmed by an elder in the City of Gbarnga, Bong County in an interview with the GNN, Jerome Garkpah, believed to be in his late sixties, said the return of Charles Taylor to Liberia from prison will make the people of that county happier. These reports were however denied by officials of the CDC, noting that at no time there has no conversation between the party and Mr. Taylor. Ex-wife of Mr. Charles Taylor, Jewel Howard Taylor is a running mate of the CDC presidential candidate, George Weah. Mr. Taylor hailed from Bong County, a onetime stronghold of Mr. Charles Taylor and his NPFL.
