Christie Blatchford: McGuinty staff emails allegedly detail efforts to delete gas-plant files


Miller, the former deputy chief of staff to McGuinty, and her boss, David Livingston, the former chief of staff, are now on trial for the alleged destruction of data relating to the gas plants scandal. The Miller emails are part of an 180-page volume of documents that were made an exhibit at the trial Thursday and released to the public. Livingston and Miller are pleading not guilty to three charges each relating to their alleged improper data destruction. Wai had no clue what the “project” was about and asked to be enlightened; Livingston replied, “Good by me. Only three mainstream outlets, not including the CBC — which covered the Duffy trial wall-to-wall — are at this trial.
