Common Thread for the Cure hosts first-ever High Point Market Mixer

To help raise awareness in the furnishings and design industries, The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lexington, N.C., will host its first-ever High Point Market Mixer to unite the furnishings and design industries in the battle against breast cancer. The event will take place at The Point, on Commerce Avenue, one block from the transportation terminal, at 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22. In partnership with the High Point Market Authority and sponsored by Crypton, a manufacturer of performance fabrics, the mixer will provide an opportunity to create awareness and educate attendees about the mission of the Common Thread for the Cure Foundation as well as its Helping Hand Grants program, which offers financial assistance to furnishing and design industry breast cancer patients through confidential grants. The mixer is open to all market attendees and will include lite bites, beer, wine and special door prizes. See also: Schools in 4 states benefit from $280,000 Ashley donation for robotics
