The deceased Nazrul Islam, 55, and his wife Salma Khatun, 45, hailed from Parbatipur upazila in Nilphamari. They were killed by miscreants at their farmhouse in the Balapara area in Khatamdhupur union in Saidpur upazila, in the early hours of Sunday, confirmed Saidpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahjahan Pasha. According to police, the couple and a few workers used to raise cattle at this Balapara farmhouse. In the early hours of Sunday, miscreants entered the farmhouse and slit their throats.
