Ikeja Magistrates’ Court sitting at Ogba, Lagos, granted three men bail on Tuesday for allegedly stealing a truck conveying goods valued at N154 million. The defendants, Shaibu Dantala, a 38-year-old; Ali Abu, a 44-year-old; and Yusuf Zakari, an 18-year-old were arraigned on two counts bordering on conspiracy and stealing. Ikhayere alleged that the defendants stole a truck with registration number ABC 430 XM, conveying two 20-foot containers laden with contact adhesive gum valued at N154 million, property of one Dominic Peter. The Magistrate, Mr L. A. Owolabi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N5 million each with two responsible sureties in like sum. He adjourned the case until February 11, for mention.
