Vaccination against the coronavirus has been our biggest weapon in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic along with following COVID-appropriate behaviour. Vaccines give us an invaluable amount of protection against a severe case of the virus. However, experts have never claimed that a person who is fully vaccinated will never contract the virus. Even after being vaccinated with one or two doses of the jab, a person can still contract and pass on the COVID-19 virus. In India, we have the Astra Zeneca Covishield, Covaxin, and Sputnik V vaccines available, and while each have different efficacy rates, all will provide an important level of immunity against the COVID-19 virus.
