Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman held a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar in New Delhi. Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir and Bangladesh High Commissioner to India M Riaz Hamidullah were present at the meetings. During the discussions, both sides emphasised advancing bilateral relations across multiple sectors and exchanged views on regional and international developments. Dr Rahman also expressed appreciation for India’s recent supply of diesel and requested an increase in the volume of diesel and fertiliser exports to Bangladesh. Minister Puri said the government of India would consider the request positively.
