KOTA KINABALU: The people need not worry about any shortage in food supply throughout the implementation of MCO 3.0, says Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee. He said this was because food production and supply will not be cut off during MCO 3.0 as the ministry had received the approval from the National Security Council (NSC) to allow all food and agriculture based industries to continue operating. “This includes farmers, fishermen and livestock farmers, ” he said during a meeting with fishermen at Kg Terusan Sugut, Beluran on Saturday (May 22). Kiandee said the food and agriculture industry is considered as part of the essential services and will continue operating by abiding strictly to SOPs.
