File photo of Gono Forum President and Jatiya Oikya Front leader Dr Kamal Hossain Mehedi Hasan/Dhaka TribuneRegardless of his doubts about fair voting, the lawyer does not wish to boycott the electionJatiya Oikya Front chief Dr Kamal Hossain said on Wednesday that they will not boycott the upcoming election under any circumstances, as they will put up a strong resistance together with the people against any irregularities in the parliamentary polls slated for December 30. “We are in doubt about a fair election, but we will stay in the election race till the last,” he said while talking to reporters at his Motijheel office, reports UNB. Dr Kamal also stated that with the help of the general people,they will stand against vote rigging and ensure proper vote counting and announcement of the election results. Regarding his earlier meeting with police officials, Dr Kamal said they came to know about his security issues and they discussed the matter in a cordial manner. A team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), led by Deputy Commissioner (Motijheel division) Anwar Hossain, visited Dr Kamal at his office around 1pm on Wednesday.
