CAIRO-14 January 2021: Egypt handball national team defeated Chile 35-29 in the opening game of the 27th IHF Men's Handball World Cup. Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex witnessed a strong performance from the Pharaohs who finished the first half with a 18-12 lead. The Pharaohs maintained their lead in the second half to secure the victory, despite the South Americans attempts to narrow down the score margin. Egypt plays in Group G alongside Chile, North Macedonia and Sweden. The hosts will face North Macedonia on Saturday before facing Sweden in the last group stage match.
