Ethiopian Government Open to Dialogue on National FlagSeptember 25, 2018 - Ethiopian national flag day will be celebrated on October 15, 2018, according to Deputy Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), Shitaye Minale. This is the 11th time the national flag day is celebrated in Ethiopia. The Deputy Speaker of HPR said it will be celebrated as before but with public consultations on the national flag. The new national flag was introduced by the governing party, EPRDF, adopted by parliament on October 31, 1996. However, all Ethiopians should respect the national flag, the Deputy Speaker indicated.
