An independent commission’s decision to dock 10 Premier League points from Everton is ‘fair’, Express Sport readers have concluded. A small majority of football fans believe that the Toffees deserved their punishment for breaking the league’s financial rules. Everton, who will appeal the decision, were found guilty of one breach of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations. In a poll of Express Sport readers, 51 per cent of 8,196 voters insisted that the punishment was ‘fair’. Deducting 10 points from Everton means Sean Dyche’s side are 19th on a measly four points, although only two points from safety.
