The review sought to challenge a prior Federal Court decision granting PKR and Saifuddin leave to proceed with their appeal. Counsel Navpreet Singh of Messrs Nav & Co, representing PKR and Saifuddin, confirmed the hearing date after the latest case management. The Kuala Lumpur High Court subsequently ruled that she had breached the bond and ordered her to pay RM10 million. However, on Dec 11, 2024, the Court of Appeal upheld the finding of breach but reduced the penalty to RM100,000. The original suit was filed in 2020 by Saifuddin, then PKR secretary general, asserting that Zuraida had violated the terms of her pre-election agreement with the party.
