Flood warning issued by Environment Agency for Norfolk


The county was battered by torrential downpours on Thursday and Friday, leading to rivers bursting their banks and cars becoming stuck in flood water. Flood alerts were issued for a number of areas across Norfolk, while a flood warning was put in place for the River Burn between South Creake to Burnham Thorpe. Flood alerts are also still in operation for the River Wissey, between Bradenham and Denver, the River Bure, River Stiffkey, and the River Waveney. Alerts, which mean flooding is possible, also cover several north west Norfolk rivers and the River Yare.
