Last's week surprise win in Brisbane had resuscitated their season, but this result makes finals football seem, once again, like a forlorn hope. The Phoenix had to win all of their remaining home games and Saturday's 3-3 draw with Perth will feel like a defeat. That was extremely disappointing, especially as the Glory were meant to be feeling the effects of the longest trip in world football. The Phoenix attacking quartet showed signs of clicking, but this is a team that looks shaky at the back.
