A girl who pleaded for financial help when she passed her exams during KCPE four years ago has attained a mean grade of A with 81 points. Catherine Achieng, 18, had a desire to attend Pangani Girls high school when she passed her exams four years ago. After her story was highlighted, Achieng got help from Pangani alumni who sent her money for fees including monthly upkeep. Education CS George Magoha said 2020 KCSE exam candidates performed better compared to those from the previous year. Magoha said that 893 students scored As in the 2020 exam, compared to 627 recorded in 2019.
