Less than a month ago, the nation was shaken over the heartbreaking news of Bassant Khaled, a 17-year old girl who committed suicide over photoshopped images and blackmailing. This morning, the story of Haidy Shehta took over the news and social media. The 15-year old girl from Sharkia has taken her own life last after being subject to fake images and blackmail. According to the news, Haidy committed suicide after she received fake images of herself which were spread on social media. Unable to handle the pressure and torment, little Haidy took her life.
