Holcim Philippines Inc. reported on Thursday that its first-half net income fell by 70 percent to P414 million from P1.4 billion in the same period last year. For the second quarter, the company incurred a net loss of P87.7 million, reversing the P716.6-million income recorded in the same period in 2019. At Holcim Philippines, we took quick and decisive actions focused on safeguarding the health of our people, controlling costs and preserving cash,” Holcim Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer John Stull said in the disclosure. “Utilization rate has increased to 91 percent as more customers use Easybuild given its advantages,” Holcim said. Holcim shares added 9 centavos or 1.89 percent to finish at P4.84 each on Thursday.
