WELLINGTON: Before the 2019 World Cup , India only play five more ODIs (vs Australia at home). Both sets of players play a lot of T20 cricket though, whether in the T20I series starting here today, or in the 2019 IPL later in March. There is no denying that this T20I series comes as nothing but a distraction. Plus, Pant is more progressed in his international career and has a better shot of making it to the World Cup. In that light, this T20I series is another opportunity for the likes of Khaleel Ahmed and Siddarth Kaul. So, did they just get carried away with too much experimentation for the World Cup?
