US-Israel-Iran war: As the conflict in the Middle East intensifies, United States President Donald Trump claimed in a G7 virtual meeting on Wednesday that Iran is ‘about to surrender,’ reported Axios, citing sources. Trump then further states that the war with Iran would end soon, as "nothing was left" in the West Asian country. “Nobody knows who is the leader, so there is no one that can announce surrender,” Trump said, according to two officials briefed on the call. In his statement on Iran, President Trump also criticised Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, calling him a “lightweight”. Earlier, Trump had said that the rise of the son of Iran’s former supreme leader Ali Khamenei would be “unacceptable” to the United States, as per the report.
